Day 1 & 2: Exploring Marrakech
Begin your adventure in the heart of Marrakech. Spend two days exploring this historic city, known for its vibrant medinas, bustling souks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Day 3: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate
On the third day, journey over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Your destination is Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its Kasbahs and striking earthen clay architecture. Proceed to Ouarzazate, known as the ‘Gateway to the Sahara,’ where you’ll spend the night.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Merzouga
Travel from Ouarzazate to the awe-inspiring dunes of Merzouga. En route, marvel at the changing landscape as you pass through the Draa Valley with its lush palm groves and ancient Kasbahs. Arrive in Merzouga by evening and enjoy a memorable camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll spend the night in a desert camp, under the stars.
Day 5 & 6: Exploring Merzouga
Spend two full days in the mesmerizing tranquility of the Sahara Desert. Explore the dunes, visit local nomadic families, and perhaps even try sandboarding. Witness both sunrise and sunset over the dunes, an experience that is nothing short of magical. Nights are spent in the desert camp, with Berber music and star-gazing.
Day 7: Merzouga - Fes
Leave the desert behind and embark on the journey to Fes. This long drive will take you through a variety of landscapes, including the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop at the cedar forests near Azrou and the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Morocco.’ Arrive in Fes by evening.
Day 8: Exploring Fes
Devote the entire day to exploring the ancient city of Fes. Visit the historic medina, Al Qarawiyyin University, the tanneries, and the Royal Palace. Lose yourself in the old-world charm of the city and its medieval architecture. Overnight in Fes.
Day 9: Fes - Chefchaouen - Tanger
Travel to the picturesque blue city of Chefchaouen. Spend a few hours wandering through its beautiful blue-washed streets and then continue your journey to Tangier. Day 10: Tangier - Casablanca
On the final day, travel from Tangier to Casablanca. In Casablanca, visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, and stroll along the Corniche. Reflect on your journey through Morocco’s contrasting landscapes, from the bustling cities to the serene desert and coastal towns. Your tour concludes in the evening in Casablanca.
